Turea, Reformed church

The first Ture locality's church built in XIII century disappeared in the history mist.

According to the one noted on a cassette kept up until today, the next church's foundation was depose in September of 1578. It was a wooden church from which the stone pulpit was kept, made in 1747 by carver Sipos Dávid. Its bell of 300 kg was lowered by the orthodox but the thievery was prevented by two Romanian families who worked at lime's burning. As a result of this action the bell cracked and was send back in 1880. This church was knocked down with occasion of new one's construction, in 1781. In 1854 cassetted ceiling was made.

In 1935 the cassettes were repainted. The organ was built in 1832 by Andreas Eitel from Brașov. The benches were painted in 1936 by Józsa Klára. Around the church we can see roman stones and more tombstones integrated by the surrounding walls.
