Ciuleni, Orthodox church

The wooden church in the cemetery of Ciuleni was built by the believers in Oarsa, a nearby hamlet. After the houses burned there, only the church survived, and in 1747 it was moved to Ciuleni.

The outer walls of the church are covered with shingles, and a sheet metal roof. The top half climbing tower, with a square helmet at the base but octagonal to the top. On the western side there is a porch built in 1899, when the roof was restored.

The interior of the church is divided into a narthex, a vaulted nave and a polygonal altar. The interior is covered with painting from 1859. The lower part of the walls has a new decorative painting. There are areas where the painting was destroyed by the infiltrated waters through the shingle roof.

In 1964, the roof was covered in blackboard. In the altar, the painting is heavily damaged, and the traces of some of the saints are hard to notice. Iconostasis with three registers is the original one, only the royal doors have been changed. Icons are painted on wood and glass.
