The Temple of Fate near Șinca Veche is located at the Pleșu hills. The year of building is unknown. Some say it took place in 1742, when the orthodox church was prohibited, others say the temple is much more older, around 7000 years old.

It is the signs on the wall that give way to the guessings. The sign is David's Star, but there is nocross, though many say that the persecuted othodox preasts hid here from Catholics in Maria Theresa's time, in the 1700s. There are five rooms, the windows are narrow, and there is a 10m high flue through which light oozes in. The two altars also gave way to many guesses. Some say that these are clear signs that the people who built the church could not have been Christians. As a tradition young people launch a burning wheel from the top of Plesu hill, to find out the date of their weddings.
