Păduriș, Monastery Strâmbă

The wooden church of Strâmbe Monastery is on the edge of Păduriș village. After the men words the monastery was called deformed poop, faithful deformed and hobbled which left heritance the land on which the church was made. It was built at the end of XVIII century by Nichifor superior. Is a small and short sanctuary, the belfry tower from above the narthex is shingled and rounded at the bottom. The church's interior and the exterior were covered with paintings, but nothing left from exterior one.

Inside the church the frescoes made in 1742 by Domitian hieromonk are deteriorated. Monachal activity was interrupted for 180 years and reestablished in 1993.
