Târnovița

The first written mention of Târnovița dates from 1566. The locality is located between Odorheiu Secuiesc and Gheorgheni, on the county road 138. The water is the banks of Târnava Mari, which flows parallel to the road. The beautiful flower-covered bridge, handed over in the autumn of 1998 and built by the local council in collaboration with the twin village of Switzerland, brings a special spot of color to the town. In front of the Catholic church there is a bust of King St. Ladislaus, made by the sculptor Petrovits István from Sfântu Gheorghe.
