The Șicasău brook springs near the Șicasău pass, 1000 m high. The Șicasău settlement, formed by the households scattered along the brook, appears in 1906.

This wonderful valley attracted the Szeklers from Zetea who began to move here, but over time the young people moved to the city in the hope of a better future, and the houses became deserted. Today, Șicasău is again an attractive settlement.

The houses have been transformed into chic houses and villas. The former world of farms is now a real holiday resort. With the disappearance of the forests, the 33 sawmills that worked here and in the nearby Ivo valley also disappeared. At present, there are traces of one that, although it is private property, can be visited. Also there you can deduce a lot of old objects collected by the owner.
